FIDDI'S GALAPAGOS

Inca Floats

You're on deck, running with the wind under full sail aboard Fiddi Angermeyer's 105-foot brigantine Andando, watching seabirds, looking for whales and dolphins. You're heading to a special cove which Galapagos-born Fiddi explored as a child with his father. Now in his mid 40's, he and Bill Roberson have teamed up to show you some of their favorite, less frequently visited parts of Galapagos. From Santa Cruz, following a clockwise route, the Andando cruises to Hood and Floreana, runs west under Isabela, then turns north to Elizabeth Bay, Urbina Bay and Fernandina. From there the Andando sails north around Isabela through the cold, nutrient-rich waters where whales feed and dolphins run with the ship. This trip takes you back in time, to the days of big sailing ships and Darwin's discoveries.
